My name is Harman Sandjaja and I joined the iXLd team in 2004. I am a Computer Engineer graduate from the University of British Columbia with DISTINCTION (yea I wish). Really... I was just a normal student, a bit on the bad side too.
When I joined the company, I hesitated a lot since I was trained more on the hardware, and my job is involved mainly with software development. I didn't learn advanced database or anything like that, nor did I learn those software models, development cycle, etc. Ok.. fine.. I made my university sound so bad. Let me rephrase... they tried to teach me a little bit of software development but the class was too boring and so.... yeah... I don't need to tell you the rest of the story.
Anyways, as time went on, my skills in software development have improved. How much you asked me? I have no clue. Let's just say that I have a decent OOP and database design skills. I can't say that I have super duper skills in both because I don't want you guys to think that I'm an arrogant conceited kid! =p Though, I am still no good with designing UI, making sites look pretty. BUT hey! That's not my job. I'm not a designer =p
Do I also need to mention the reason I created this blog is that I would lose my job if I don't? LOL!
